Cookies

If you leave a comment on our site, you may opt-in to save your name, E-mail address, and website in cookies. Using these will allow you to leave a comment without having to fill in your details again. It will take one year for these cookies to expire.
To determine whether your browser accepts cookies, we will set a temporary cookie on our login page. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you sign in, we also set multiple cookies to save your login information and screen display choices. Sign-in cookies last two days and screen options cookies last one year. If you select “Remember Me”, your log-in will last two weeks. If you log out, login cookies will be removed.

If you modify or publish an article, an additional cookie will be stored in your browser. This cookie contains no personal data and simply shows the post ID of the item you have just modified. It expires a day later.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles on this site may include embedded content (e.g. videos, images, articles, etc.). Embedded content from other websites behaves in the same way as if the visitor has visited the other website.

These websites may collect data about you, use cookies, embed additional third-party tracking, and monitor your interaction with that embedded content, including tracking your interaction with the embedded content if you have an account and are logged in to that website.

With whom we share your details.

If you ask for a password reset, your IP address will be included in the reset e-mail.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata remain for an indefinite period. This enables us to automatically recognize and approve follow-up comments rather than hold them in a moderation queue.

For users who register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profiles. All users can see, modify or delete their personal information at any time (except that they cannot change their user name). Website administrators are also able to view and change this information.

Which rights do you have over your data?

If you have an account on this site or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You may also ask us to delete all personal information we hold about you. This does not include data that we are obligated to maintain for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Where your data goes

Visitor’s comments can be verified by an automated spam detection service.
